Brookings County Commission removes burn ban

The Brookings County Commission Tuesday rescinded the burn ban they put in place on April 20th.

The county had declared a fire danger emergency because of the dry and windy conditions earlier this spring.

County Emergency Manager Bob Hill says the request to remove the burn ban came from the fire chiefs in the county…

The commissioners voted unanimously to remove the burn ban.
