Brookings Citywide Cleanup begins Monday

The City of Brookings annual Spring Cleanup is slated to start Monday, April 10.

Branches, bulky items and trash may be placed on boulevards for pickup. This free pickup is not available to businesses.

All items must be placed on boulevards even if snow is still present. Small items should be placed in the appropriate garbage, recycling or yard waste cart. There is no alley pickup. Crews will only canvass the city once.

Monday is the first day to place items and Sunday, April 16th is the last day. Crews begin pickup on Monday, the 17th. In addition, the Brookings Regional Landfill will be open for free dumping for city residents.

Items placed on boulevards should be sorted — separate branches, metals and bulky items into three distinct piles.
