Brookings City and School Election today

The Brookings City and School Election is today. Polls are open until 7:00 o’clock tonight.

Voters will be choosing Two City Council members and one School Board member.

The three candidates for the two City Council seats are Joey Collins, Cassie Juba and incumbent Ope Niemeyer.

The four candidates for the single School Board seat are Tasiyagnunpa Barondeau, Kyle Dahl, Jacqueline Johnson and incumbent Wes Tschetter.

If you are voting today, you may do so at any one of the four vote centers:  Brookings Activity Center, Bethel Baptist Church, Holy Life Tabernacle and the Aurora Little Hall.

Early voting has been very strong. As of Friday, more then 2100 voters had cast absentee ballots.
