A barn and 63 head of sheep are lost to fire Friday morning southwest of Aurora. It happened about 7:35 near the intersection of 218th Street and 474th Avenue.

Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says the Aurora Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene as did several other fire departments.

The fire was eventually extinguished but the barn was a complete loss. In addition to the sheep, a Skidsteer, two lawn mowers and around 300 square straw bales were also lost.

The cause of the fire is not known.
