YANKTON, S.D. (AP) – Yankton police say a man wanted for attempted murder in Nebraska rammed an officer’s squad car during a traffic stop.

Authorities say the suspect was driving a stolen U-Haul truck Tuesday night, hit the squad and fled across the bridge to Nebraska. Yankton police pursued the man into Nebraska until the State Patrol and Cedar County sheriff’s deputies joined the pursuit and took the man into custody.

Police say no Yankton officers were injured. Cedar County Attorney Edward Matney tells the Press & Dakotan authorities had been looking for the man suspected in Tuesday’s stabbing in Fordyce in the Yankton and Brookings areas in South Dakota.
