Arrest made in Brookings burglary

Brookings police make an arrest in a residential burglary.

It was reported shortly after 4:00 o’clock Thursday morning.

A resident of the 700 block of 5th street was awakened by someone in their home who was rummaging through their belongings. The resident confronted the intruder and the person ran off.

Lt. Marci Gebers says a 32-year-old Brookings man was arrested and is charged with first-degree burglary.
