Additional COVID-19 case in Brookings County, statewide increase is relatively small

The South Dakota Department of Health now reports 2245 total cases of COVID-19 with 33 cases reported today. Of those, 918 are active.
There have been 11 fatalities from the virus in the state.
The Department reports 1316 people have recovered and 150 are in the “ever hospitalized” category. Current hospitalizations are at 61. There have been 14,130 negative tests.
Another case is reported for Brookings County, bringing the total of 12, three of them are active. There have been 336 negative tests conducted in Brookings County.
Minnehaha County is now at 1880 cases, the majority are connected to Smithfield Foods.
