Active COVID-19 cases increase slightly in South Dakota

No additional deaths reported as active cases increase slightly in South Dakota. The number of active COVID-19 cases grew by 11 to 1326.
Total positive cases increased by 69 to 3732. The number of people who have recovered is 2367 and current hospitalizations are 79. The “ever hospitalized” category is at 281.
Some 22,112 total negative tests have been reported in the state.
Total coronavirus deaths in South Dakota remain at 39. Twenty of those deaths occurred at the Good Samaritan Sioux Falls Village senior living facility.
Brookings County remains at 14 cases with none of them active. There have been 440 negative tests conducted in Brookings County.
