The state Department of Health reports 1685 confrimed COVID-19 cases in South Dakota with 49 reported today. Forty-two of the new cases are from Minnehaha County.
There have been 7 deaths from the virus.
There have been 10,641 negative tests and 709 people have recovered from the virus.
Brookings County remains at 9 cases with 9 recovered. The County is listed as community spread, in the minimal/moderate category. There have been 271 negative tests conducted in Brookings County.
Minnehaha County saw now stands at 1405 confirmed cases with 891 of them connected to Smithfield Foods.
