21 COVID-19 deaths reported since Friday, including 1 in Brookings County

Twenty-one COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota since Friday, the total is now 1705. One of those deaths is from Brookings County.

Active cases in Brookings County decrease by 11 to 206. Total cases are up by 13 to 3366. There have been 33 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3127 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 116. The County is in the substantial community spread category.

Statewide, active cases have gone down by 85 since Friday to 4005. Total cases have increased by 432 to 107,148. The number of people who have recovered is 101,438. Current hospitalizations decreased by 15 to 162.

Some 75,683 vaccinations have been administered in the state, 2009 of them in Brookings County.
