Ten COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Friday. The total is now 1798. One of the deaths is from Brookings County.

Active cases in Brookings County decrease by 3 to 126. Total cases are up by 9 to 3459. There have been 35 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3298 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 120. The County is in the substantial community spread category.

Statewide, active cases drop by 87 to 2430. Total cases have increased by 137 to 108,944. The number of people who have recovered is 104,716. Current hospitalizations decrease by 5 to 121.

Some 115,783 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 80,700 people. A total of 3171 doses have been given in Brookings County to 2204 people.
