Late Blizzard Causes Power Outages

This late blizzard has produced just about every type of precipitation possible along with strong winds and its beginning to take its toll.  According to Sioux Valley Energy social media about 7:15 am Saturday, “We currently have approximately 550 members without power. We are monitoring the weather and will send crews out as soon as it’s safe to do so.” This statement was shared around 3:15 am Saturday morning, “Our power supplier is experiencing some outages and blinks on the transmission system in Lake County. We currently have about 300 members out of power due to this in the Orland area. Thank you for your patience as we get through this storm together.”

The Blizzard Warning was extended from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm tonight.
